What do you offer to your guests that helps you stand out from your competitors?

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas is the only destination in Las Vegas that provides Three Five-Star service. Our goal is to make sure that each guest walks away saying, “Wow, I didn’t even think about doing that during this trip, but thank you for making that suggestion.” Our goal is to have our guests be blown away with what we’re offering. They’re here on vacation or work and we think that their expectations of us should be very high. They’re spending a lot of money, and we want to make sure that we’re meeting and exceeding their expectations and that they walk away satisfied.

What amenities does your property have that make you unique?

The property offerings overall are unique but our best assets are our colleagues. They take the time to listen to our guests and cater to their individual needs. Nothing is done as a cookie-cutter procedure. Everything is modified to reach and exceed individual needs.

Do you have a prized restaurant, bar, spa or nightclub that keeps guests coming back?

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas’ signature restaurant is Twist by Pierre Gagnaire. It is the only venue in the US where you can experience the extraordinary cuisine of Chef Pierre Gagnaire. Chef Gagnaire has garnered three Michelin stars and is one of the most artistic and celebrated chefs in the world today. Twist has already received the coveted Forbes Five Star award for 2012 and 2013. Located on the 23rd floor, the stunning dining room provides the perfect backdrop for Twist’s groundbreaking menu of classic French cuisine with a contemporary edge and features a dramatic glass staircase leading up to a suspended wine loft with 2,500 different wines. Twist’s innovative menu infuses the simplicity of classic French cuisine with an unforgettable modern spin. Imaginatively created, each dish is designed to delight the senses through the careful pairing of flavors and textures for which Gagnaire is renowned. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, Twist also features an exclusive view of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

Providing a sophisticated ambience and fabulous setting, the Mandarin Bar is one of Las Vegas’ most exclusive after-dark venues. Located on the 23rd floor of Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, floor-to-ceiling windows provide guests with stunning views of the city’s famous Strip. Serving a mix of expertly crafted cocktails, delicious light bites and a variety of fine wines, Mandarin Bar provides a relaxed environment for pre and post-dinner drinks. With chic décor incorporating dark wood floors, jewel-toned armchairs and high-backed bar stools, the bar exudes contemporary style. In addition, we also have a luxurious, private room known as The Edge. With space for up to 30 people and waiter service, it provides the ideal venue for private parties and events.

How do you cater to not just guests but keep your property hot and relevant on the local scene? 

We have started opening our pool to non-hotel guests with the purchase of a cabana and also host a new weekly event, “Jazz Sundays.”

Located on our 8th floor, the pool deck boasts stunning views. Offering a stylishly serene atmosphere, we have two pools, two Jacuzzis and one plunge pool. Our cabanas include a complimentary bottle of Moët Ice Imperial champagne, fully stocked mini bar with non alcoholic beverages, complimentary pitchers of iced tea and lemonade, 42’ inch television, PlayStation 3, Oshibori towels, magazines and newspapers, and hourly hand-passed amenities.

Jazz Sundays is a weekly get-together that features live jazz music while guests indulge in a new brunch menu at MOzen and a special cocktail menu at Mandarin Bar. MOzen Bistro Jazz Sundays brunch has a live jazz duo of guitarists and stand up bass along with a new all-you-can-enjoy brunch. The menu offers fresh sushi, an elaborate seafood station featuring Crab claws and Kumomoto oysters, live carving options, traditional Dim Sum, a delectable dessert offering and entree favorites including the Hong Kong Style Steamed Grouper, Belgian Waffle with caramel pecan cream and the Soufflé Omelette. In addition to the exquisite cuisine, free flowing champagne and mimosas are available as add-ons.

Which room in the hotel is considered the best, and why?

That is impossible to answer, as all of our rooms are the best in their own right. Our 392 rooms and suites are wonderfully comfortable with a sleek décor incorporating subtle Asian-inspired touches. The 335 guestrooms are decorated in a chic, contemporary style; the 57 spacious suites range in size from 850 square feet to 3,100 square feet; all suites provide exquisite views of either The Strip, the cityscape or the surrounding mountains; and all rooms are LEED® Gold certified from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
