Emaar Properties Builds Second Tallest Building in Downtown Dubai

Dubai’s Emaar Properties – a company which became world-famous after developing the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa – have announced plans to build The Address and The BLVD, comprising serviced residences and a hotel, respectively.

Scheduled for completion in early to mid 2015, the property will feature 200 hotel rooms and 542 serviced residences. Financing for the five-star hotel will come from the pre-sales of the serviced apartments, according to CEO of Emaar Retail, Arif Amiri. The building will be the second tallest structure in the Downtown district, standing 340 meters high with 63 storeys.

“The launch of The Address The BLVD is a strong reiteration of the positive growth trends in Dubai’s real estate sector, led by the significant increase achieved in tourism, hospitality, retail and foreign trade,” said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director, Emaar Properties. “With the Address hotels in Dubai recording average 85 to 90 percent occupancy throughout the year, The Address The BLVD will further compliment the city’s hospitality growth.”
