For many travelers, proximity to the relaxing oceans is a prime driver in the selection of a vacation getaway spot.
Because people seek waterfront vacations, beaches have always been popular during the summer months. Now, designers could be taking that a step further with a floating resort.
Case in point: Italian designer Michele Puzzolante is working on a plan to build a floating resort that would also include pods that can accommodate up to six people. The design draws electricity from solar power thanks to panels on the roof of the resort and the individual pods.
While the design may seem far fetched, Puzzolante is already in talks to build the resort in the Philippines.
