Koh-I Nor Hotel Amps Up The Luxury at Val Thorens Ski Resort

The Koh-I Nor Hotel has added even more luxury to the French Alps. The hotel opened in December with 63 rooms and suites featuring soaking tubs, plenty of fur throughout, wooden walls and dashes of leather and suede.

Koh-I Nor Hotel sits on the edge of the Val Thorens ski resort. Since its opening, guests have discovered the properties many amenities including satellite programming and jaw-dropping views of the mountains.

The property’s main focal point is the lobby lounge where guests can warm up by a two-sided fireplace while sitting on leather club chairs. The lobby lounge also features arched windows where guests can appreciate the views down the valley.

Koh-I Nor Hotel also boasts two restaurants, one with more casual fare and the other more formal. Both establishments are lead by Chef Yoann Conte, winner of two Michelin stars at another restaurant.

Perhaps the hotel’s biggest selling piece is its direct access to the slopes. Skiers can also relax after a day on the slopes in the property’s exercise room, indoor pools, sauna or the steam room.
