Luxury Hotels Beef Up Their Butler Services

Butler services might be the hottest amenity at luxury hotels. More and more high-end properties are beefing up this personalized luxury service on their list of high-quality offerings.

The Langham, Chicago is one of those hotels. The property added eight butlers to their club floors beginning in January. The butler services at the hotel include unpacking, pressing, arranging dinner reservations and even setting up guests with a babysitter. Guests will pay $75 per person each day for the butler services.

Other hotels have transformed the butler amenity into its own kind of personal assistant. At St. Regis Hotels, butlers almost act as personal shoppers for guests. For example, at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Florida, guests can request their personal butler to stock their rooms with clothing and accessories from Neiman Marcus.

St. Regis Hotels even opened up the lines of communication for their butlers and guests. Across the hotel’s eButler online platform, guests and their butlers can discuss their stay before, during and after their visit.
