Luxury Hotels Display Warhols, Matisse and More for Cultural Guests

More and more travelers are taking a greater interest in cultural tourism. Whether it is food or art, people are looking for enrichment during their hotel stay.

To cater to these culturally-hungry guests, hotels around the world are working to enhance their own art portfolios with works by some of the world’s great artists, including Andy Warhol or Henri Matisse.

San Francisco’s Hotel Palomar and the St. Regis San Francisco offer Northern California a culture fix. The Palomar features art by modernist Marc Chagall while the St. Regis displays art from contemporary artists Alison Rossiter and Chip Cooper.

Elsewhere in the US, Santa Fe’s Auberge Resort Encantado and Las Vegas hotel Bellagio offer more quality works on display for guests. The Chambers in New York has so much artwork it nearly is indistinguishable from a gallery.

Internationally, the Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia and the Park Hotel in Amsterdam offer some of the world’s most interesting works. The Park offers a rotating collection while Anse Chastanet hosts artists to draw inspiration from the tropical settings.

Showcasing art is another way the world’s finest hotels are distinguishing themselves in the growing luxury market.
