Luxury Hotels Lend Guests the Opportunity To Volunteer

Array

When most guests check into luxury hotels, they are looking for the finest of amenities and conveniences. The Four Season Maui at Wailea is shaking up the luxury travel world by adding a dash of charity. The property is lending guests the chance to volunteer during their stay by helping to construct a home or passing out food to the homeless.

The luxury hotel has partnered with the local Habitat for Humanity for its winter-spring volunteer itinerary. In addition to helping build houses, guests can lend their services at a botanical garden or a local soup kitchen.

The Fours Seasons Maui at Wailea isn’t the only luxury hotel mixing luxury travel and charity. The Ritz-Carlton offers a Give Back Getaway program where guests can participate in half-day community work. Some of the volunteer activities have included saving sea turtles in China or lending a helping hand at a soup kitchen in New York.
