Luxury Pet Hotel Business Expanding

D Pet hotels, the luxury pet hotel company based in California, has opened a new pooch palace in NYC’s ritzy Chelsea neighbourhood, hoping the new location will prove to be as successful as its Hollywood flagship doggy accommodation.

D Pets is no run-of-the-mill kennel that’s gone to the dogs – the 10,000 square foot Chelsea facility boasts of full-sized beds, DVD players, flat-screen TVs, a doggy spa and gym, and meals specially prepared by a chef.  And, as at all D Pets facilities, “pawdicures” and hot oil treatments to soothe a dog’s dry skin and condition coats are always available.

D Pets has also recently opened a new hotel in Scottsdale Arizona, along with the luxuries mentioned above, pups get to run around in air-conditioned indoor parks, sleep in designer doggy beds and get chauffeured around in exotic luxury sports cars like Lamborghinis or Porsches.

The pampered pooch trend is becoming so popular that even more luxury pet hotels will be opening in the next few months across the USA, and other cities in the world are following; dog hotels will be opening in Bello Horizonte, Brazil and in Melbourne, Australia.

Rates at D Pets in Chelsea start at approximately $79 per night and go all the way up to $200.  Dog walks in the neighbourhood can be arranged by the dog owner’s request for $60 per hour, and meals which consist of brown rice with beef, lamb, or vegetables will cost $9.
