Oman is upping the stakes in its bid to have the most unique luxury hotel, with plans to develop the underweater ‘Water Discus Hotel.’ Conceived and developed by Polish first Deep Ocean Technology (DOT), the hotel will feature an underwater residential disc and an above-the-water leisure disc.
Currently, the design shows the hotel will have 21 rooms situated 10 meters below the surface of the water. Each room will have big windows offering views of the surrounding water and will offer a special lighting system to allow guests to better see their surroundings.
The above-the-water leisure disc portion of the hotel will offer a rooftop with seawater swimming pools, an exotic garden, and a coral garden.
