The Peninsula Beverly Hills offers an unparalleled level of excellence; it not only delivers, but it exceeds the standards of other hotels. With its combination of traditional and understated elegance, the property truly represents the spirit of Los Angeles.
From the time you check in until the time you leave, the red carpet is rolled out. There was even a glass of wine thoughtfully waiting for me upon arrival. With its pristine gardens, charming rooftop terrace and gorgeous rooms, the Peninsula as a whole is an impeccable package. Nestled in the chic neighborhood of Beverly Hills, the hotel is a perfect balance of tranquility and action. Though you’ll feel like you’re in a private, quiet community, you’ll still be in close proximity to fine dining and loads of shopping. Should you require privacy, this is the hotel for you. The staff executes requests inconspicuously, causing you to wonder whether they have even heard you. The Peninsula’s employees are just as happy to be there as the guests are, as well: many have been there for over a decade, and a few employees have worked there for more than twenty years. They, in turn, know all of the guests by name. I even saw one worker measuring a little girl to see how much she had grown from her last visit.
But what blew me away the most were all of the subtle details, specifically my custommonogrammed pillow. At first, I thought that perhaps the brand of linens the hotel used coincidentally had the same initials, but no.
It’s these small but thoughtful considerations that up the ante at the Peninsula. When you depart, they allow you to either take the linens home or store them for your next visit (because they know you’ll be back).
In addition to my lovely linens, the Peninsula really is a glamorous place. It evokes European beauty without the attitude. The hotel is adorned with beautiful fabrics, comfortable furniture and chandeliers…and there is high tea every day as well.
There are countless luxury hotels throughout the world, but few are able to re-create the Peninsula experience. It takes countless hours of behind-the scenes-work to create such a perfect vibe. You can unwind, have business meetings or bring the family; regardless of what your situation is, this is your place – and it’s worth every penny! But most importantly, the Peninsula is a home, and once you’ve stayed, you’re officially a part of the family.
