Rosewood Hotels has announced a plan to expand its presence in Asia with the addition of 10 new properties over the next several years.
The first hotel is set to open in Beijing’s Chaoyang District next year.
Australian design firm Bar Studio is handling much of the look of the hotels which will concentrate on outdoor spaces that are in short supply in bustling Beijing.
The rooms will be more like apartments than traditional hotel rooms. Guests will enjoy balconies and gardens from their rooms through generous window space. The hotel will also offer seven restaurants and lounges as well as spa and gym facilities.
Guests will also have access to an indoor pool and an internet station, which according to recent surveys, has become a prime concern for hotel guests.
