Survey Finds UK’s Most Expensive Hotels

A new survey by has determined the UK’s most expensive hotels.

The study was performed using a standard double room to compare rates, disregarding the prices for the London Olympic Games later this month (when rates will undoubtedly be out of proportion due to extraordinary demand).

It compared rates from June to August of this year and found that eight of the top ten and all of the top three most expensive are located in London.

For accommodations in London, the most expensive hotel is 45 Park Lane, located in the Mayfair district. On average, guests there will spend £545 a night.

Rounding out the top five most expensive London hotels are The Lanesborough (£524), Bulgari Hotel and Residences (£499), Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park (£407) and The Connaught (£403).

Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxford and Glenapp Castle in Scotland were the only hotels not located in London to make the top ten.
