TSA Removing Full-Body Scanners

Travel just got a bit less stressful! Last week, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the body responsible for travel security in the United States, announced that they will be eliminating their controversial full-body scanners by June 1. As such, all full-body scanners are slated to be replaced with less intrusive 700mm wave body scanners.

Travelers flying in the US complained about the fact that naked images were being viewed by strangers working for the TSA. The decision was made after the company that makes the body scanners, Rapiscan, revealed that it could not meet the deadline Congress gave to install privacy software on the machine.

Tell us – does this make it less stressful for you to fly? Will this make it easier to get to your favorite luxury hotel?
