Located in the heart of Vienna, the city’s new Ritz-Carlton hotel is the latest to open in Europe and is the first to open in the country.   The luxury hotel features 202 guest rooms, a lobby lounge, a restaurant, a roof-top terrace, and a hotel bar.  Also at the hotel are a six-room spa, a health area for men as well as a health area for women, and indoor gym, and an 18m indoor swimming pool in which underwater music is available.  Both of the health areas boast of a steam baths, saunas, and for those who need some extra care after the stress of travel, heated relaxation beds to soothe tired muscles.

The hotel is situated on the famous Ring Boulevard and is housed in four historic, culturally protected former palaces.  Ideally located for those who like to combine sightseeing with opulence and pampering, the Ritz-Carlton conveniently close to the city’s sights like the Imperial Apartments and Hofburg, the Viennese State Opera, the Albertina Museum, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.  Furthermore, the hotel is perfect for those who also like to indulge in some high-end shopping;  Graben and Kohlmarkt are only minutes away.

The hotel’s restaurant, Dstrikt, focuses mainly on local food products and offers a wide selection of the finest domestic wines.    While during the winter it is too cold to dine outdoors, during the summer warm months a terrace is available for al fresco meals.

The Ritz-Carlton Vienna is part of a group of eight hotels in the Austrian region and investors are hoping to expand the global presence of the Ritz-Carlton brand.
